Carlos André Ornelas Ricart is a Full Professor at the University of Brasilia and, presently, is also the treasurer of the Brazilian Proteomics Society. He has earned a M.Sc. Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Brasilia and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds, UK. His research activities focus on biochemistry, mass spectrometyry and proteomics applied to various biological models, with emphasis in proteomic and subproteomic analysis of the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi and filamentous fungi producers of plant biomass degrading enzymes.
